Latest News From the Artist
Thanks to my disgusting family, I've been stuck dealing with legal issues over the past few weeks so all art projects kinda got put on hold. Now, I'm starting to try to get things back moving again. Now, mind you, I'm still going to be slow with production, but here is the current forecast for Lantern Faery Farms.
I will be working to properly divide up my journal for fast linking between news, stable directories, estate/facility information, upcoming events, etc.
LFF Hosted Event: Spring Parade
Our first community event will be a free-style mixer parade. Each stable is allowed to enter three horses. Each horse must be entered with rider performing a walk, slow trot, or pace. Horse and rider are allowed the tack and outfit of choice. Costumes are encouraged. Foals are allowed, but must come haltered with an escort of either a handler or a mare-and-rider with tethered lead. Background is a simple country lane.
Entry Due Date: March 22, 2010 [Date can be extended a wee tad if needed.]
Four winners will be awarded Best In Show medals applied to head-shots of the winning horses. One grand prize winner will receive the head-shot and medal along with a special prize to be given to their stable. This prize will be announced in better detail in February.
Lead rider and mount from our stable will be announced by February.
Depending on how well this event goes, we may host a formal competition later this year.

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that at sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know... I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

And thanks. That's the result of me attempting to resurrect rusty art skills via the old pencil, pen, and paper method for the line art versus entirely digitally drawn via tablet. Next week, I plan to start putting more effort into figuring out how to waste less paper by learning how to do the line art on the tablet. We'll see what comes of it. :/
Use lots of layers so you don't accidentally erase 'the perfect line'. >.<
And memorize control+z and the shortcut keys for pen and eraser... nothing is worse than having to go switch tools when your working on something. I always loose my spot! XD
what programs do you use?
